Falling away
At the end of the day
No more to play
With the shining light!
Dark night is coming
The curtain is falling
The stillness is creeping
     Like spiders on stone.
And I will fall down

          From the heavens!

  Cast out of the light
  And into the night
  Now loosing sight
       Of the things I had done.
  The path followed no more
  Not to play on the shore
  Or in cloud to soar -
       I am accelerating
  Down to the earth

    Night will abound
    As I make not a sound
    Tumbling ‘round
      As I fall from the sky!
    And now I, the one,
    Who saw everyone
    Shall now see none
      For I’m falling away
    Down into the dark
