The Disney television show "Gargoyles" inspired quite a few artists, myself included. I thought it would be interesting to draw an undearwater Gargoyle. Common solutions to this idea tend to involve mermaid tails and wing-like fins, but I chose to base my creature on a manta ray, using wings placed under the arms that joined to the tail. Gills over the lungs and a head crest complete the image.
